At Hartley Daycare, we believe parents are our most valuable partners in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for the children who attend our center. Our Parent Resources section is designed to support you with practical tools, helpful information, and guidance to ensure your child’s growth and success.
Here, you’ll find our monthly curriculum to help you stay connected with your child’s learning and activities. We’re also proud to share information about our program-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, along with helpful resources to reinforce these principles at home. Whether you're looking for developmental milestones, parenting tips, or ways to align with our PBIS strategies, this section is here to support and guide our parents to continue to provide quality care across the board.
PBIS
Our PBIS Program and Leadership Team
At Hartley Daycare, we implement a program-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, also known as the Pyramid Model, to promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral development in young children. Guided by our leadership team of administrators, internal and external coaches and teachers, we focus on evidence-based strategies to create a supportive and sustainable environment for children, staff, and families.
Our core expectations form the foundation of our PBIS approach and you will often hear your child's teacher and child saying them:
- Be Safe: Encourage safe choices, such as using walking feet indoors and keeping hands and bodies to ourselves.
- Be Kind: Encourage kindness through gentle words, taking turns, and helping others.
- Be Responsible: Teach responsibility by encouraging children to clean up after themselves and take care of materials.
- Be a Team Player: Promote teamwork by working together, solving problems, and celebrating each other's successes.
These expectations are applied consistently across all areas of our program, from the classroom to the playground, dining areas, and beyond. With data-driven decision-making, our PBIS leadership team ensures that these principles create meaningful, lasting impacts, including fewer challenging behaviors, stronger social skills, and a positive program climate.

Experience Curriculum

Hartley Daycare has partnered with Experience Curriculum to provide a comprehensive curriculum that is based on the latest research in the field of early childhood education. Experience Curriculum is intentionally designed to support the development of skills across eight domains including:
1. Social-emotional
2. Physical
3. Language and Literacy
4. Math and Reasoning
5. Science
6. Social Studies
7. Creative Development
8. Second Language Acquisition
Activities, projects and extended learning experiences are intentionally planned to invite children to explore their own curiosities while encouraging them to naturally apply multiple skills throughout the learning experience. With Experience Curriculum, educators frame experiences around thematic studies to help children link past and new knowledge within a playful story platform. Thematic studies reinforce real-world connections and help children learn about themselves, their families, diverse communities, natural habitats and how they fit within the big, beautiful world.
